Born with the gift of song, Sandy felt its persistent tug all her life. Her musical parents nurtured her gift from an early age and by her teens she was ranked one of the top singers in Florida and was belting out tunes at Disney World. But with a family to raise and a career that kept pushing her higher up the ladder of responsibility, Sandy's voice took back stage, but never in her heart and soul. For two decades, her joyful songs and captivating personality shone through at special church concerts and Sunday choir. But God was asking for more. "I'd felt God calling me to let my gift shine on a wider stage for a long time," says Sandy. "But I didn’t know how to let go of the security of my career." Then one day, out of the blue, her job was taken away from her instantly. Instead of feeling devastation, she felt peace in knowing her true journey had just begun.
Sandy accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1971. Growing up, she watched her father lead Sunday worship in the family's church, as her mother played the organ. With a voice born for Gospel, she sang about God’s love and mercy in churches all around Orlando. Wherever she sang, the effect was the same: her voice moved people deeply and the words of victory she sang gave them hope. Today, Sandy's music ministry is based in South Carolina where she lives with her husband (who can't sing a lick) and three kids (all top-rated musicians). She is active in the music ministry of Clearview Baptist Church in Travelers Rest where she is a member. Her ministry of song reaches out to people of all ages with the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
"I want everyone who hears my music to feel the peace I do when I sing to God," says Sandy. "I want them to feel Jesus embracing them through my music."
